    Happy World Book Day! At Testbourne, our students have been fully immersed in the world of literature while celebrating World Book Day and the joy of reading! This morning, during tutor time, students let their creativity flow as they designed inspired book covers of their favourite reads, bringing their personal touch to literary classics and contemporary gems. Also our Design Technology department were getting creative, crafting beautiful bookmarks using our laser cutter, and they look amazing!

  • Year 7 Cricket Tournament 21-02-24

    The Year 7 boys participated in an indoor tournament at Dummer yesterday. They competed against four schools: Houndsdown, Mountbatten, Brighton Hill, and John Hanson. Although they only managed to secure a victory against Mountbatten, all the games were closely contested, showcasing some superb wickets taken by both spin and pace bowling.

  • First Lego League Competition

    "On Wednesday 24 January, we took the minibus to the University of Portsmouth for the First Lego League competition. We had spent weeks diving into the challenge of designing, building, and programming a Lego robot for various missions, like pulling levers or placing Lego people in specific places on the board. It was hard, but we tackled it head-on, facing competition from other local schools.

  • Christmas Lunch 2023

    These past three days, the festive cheer echoed through Testbourne's canteen as we hosted our joyous Christmas lunches (one of our favourite events of the year!) Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff lent a helping hand, ensuring each student received their meal, drinks, and dessert. With a classic turkey roast and a delicious Christmas pudding, the atmosphere was filled with festive merriment as students wore their Christmas hats, pulled crackers and listened to classic Christmas music. Our final Christmas lunch day also took place on Christmas Jumper Day, adding to the holiday spirit.

  • TCS Christmas Card Sale

    We are delighted to tell you about a Christmas card competition hosted by the Art department this term. Art and Photography students in Year 7 and 10 were asked to design a Christmas card with a nod to our culture and ethos. There were many entries, and the standard was very high.

  • TCS Carol Concert 23

    Yesterday evening, the Testbourne Carol service took place in All Hallows, Whitchurch. It is a special event in our school calendar and this year we joined with members of All Hallows choir to perform our own Testbourne version of the original 9 lessons and carols service that originated at King College, Cambridge in the 1920s. The service started with a beautiful unaccompanied first verse of Once in Royal David City, by three talented Year 7 singers.

  • GCSE Results Day 2023

    GCSE Results 2023 – Press Release Testbourne Community School is delighted to congratulate its students on their fantastic GCSE and BTEC qualifications this summer. Three quarters of students achieved a ‘standard’ pass of grade 4 and above in both English and Maths combined. Over 15% of students achieved the top grades 9-7 in both English and Maths.

  • Testbourne Prom Event 2023

    The Year 11s arrived in style on Thursday 6th July, at Norton Park Hotel; we had an array of transport, including three tractors, a golf buggy, a pink limo, and many sports cars! As always, it was lovely to see them in their beautiful dresses and smart suits. They all had a fantastic evening and spent most of the night on the dance floor!
