How can I support my child at home?

Please take an interest in what your son/daughter is learning in MFL.

In addition to any written homework he/she will have vocabulary and/or grammar to learn each week. You can help by testing him/her. Let your son/daughter try and teach you what he/she has been learning. This is a really good way for them to embed the knowledge.

If possible, arrange holidays to a country where the language is spoken.

Extra-curricular activities

  • Prefect leaders run clubs and drop-in sessions in each of the three languages on offer
  • Revision and support sessions are on offer from your son/daughter’s teacher in Year 10 and 11
  • We have run successful visits to France, Germany and Spain and hope to be able to offer further foreign visits.
