Homework Working Party

We would like to announce the successful launch of the Testbourne Homework Working Party. This is a new and unique opportunity for staff, parents and students to come together to discuss and share ideas from all perspectives about what makes the most effective homework. The group includes interested parents, staff and will also include a cross section of students. The main aim of the group is to encourage in depth discussion into experiences and up-to-date research around the topic of effective homework. Our outcome is to produce a summary report which can be referred to by school when reviewing homework decisions. I am sure you will agree that homework is a very important endeavour: we hope to maximise the rewards and value, and minimise the frustration.

The group had its first meeting  on Tuesday 8th October. Discussions were proactive and constructive, and some even left with homework of their own! We look forward to the second meeting in December in order to continue with the valuable and informative work.
